Technical Manager – R&D and Technical

Qualification:

• B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical / Electronics 
• Additional qualification in management or relevant technical certification will be an advantage.

Experience:

• 8 –12+ years of relevant experience in R&D, Technical Engineering, Product Development, Engineering, or Manufacturing.
• Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the R&D and Technical Engineering functions.
2. Manage new product development, product improvement and engineering projects.
3. Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, BOMs and engineering documentation.
4. Lead design, testing, validation and qualification activities.
5. Identify technical problems and provide effective root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
6. Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Sales and Customer teams for technical requirements.
7. Drive cost reduction, productivity improvement and product/process optimization.
8. Manage engineering change requests, ECN/ECR and product revisions.
9. Ensure compliance with applicable technical standards, specifications and statutory requirements.
10. Plan and monitor R&D projects, timelines, budgets and resources.
11. Develop and mentor engineers and technical team members.
12. Provide technical support for customer complaints, field issues and new projects.
13. Evaluate new technologies, components, equipment and engineering solutions.
14. Maintain technical documentation, test reports, validation records and engineering databases.
15. Support management in developing the organization’s technology and R&D roadmap.
16. Lead the architecture, design, and development of high-efficiency UPS, Solar Hybrid Inverters, PCS for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Industrial DC Power Systems. Drive innovation in advanced power-conversion topologies, including multilevel inverters, bidirectional DC-DC converters, transformer less and transformer-based architectures, and SiC/GaN-based high-frequency designs. Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging power-electronics technologies to improve efficiency, reliability, scalability, thermal performance, and overall system cost-effectiveness.
